Yarn on Youree is committed to serving our local fiber community that stretches across our state and into Texas and Arkansas. We provide a wide variety of yarns across a wide spectrum of prices, fibers (both natural and man-made), weights, colors, hand-dying techniques, and textures. We are committed to finding organic yarns that are produced ethically. We also support a variety of fair trade companies, whether they sell yarn, baskets, embroidered bags, etc. A wide variety of classes, related to knitting, crocheting, and weaving skills are offered on a regular basis, as well as those scheduled to meet customers’ needs and schedules. At times, we will offer special classes on techniques that take us into new fiber arts skills ( such as Swedish weaving, making bowls out of clothesline cord, tatting, basic embroidery, etc.) It’s always fun to learn a new skill to stretch our creativity! Check our calendar to note when scheduled classes are held. We can also design a class around a customer’s specific need, at any time. Let us know how we can help you grow as a fiber artist!
